I have to admit, after giving birth to Olivia, I was looking forward to my first Mother’s Day. I thought that it was going to be a great day with my parents & Brian’s and our beautiful little girl. Ha! My beautiful little girl decided to show me what being a mother really is–tired, selfless, hagard, –oh did I mention tired? Yes, Olivia decided to have a massive growth spurt on mother’s day, eating every hour on the hour and crying–screaming at points–in between meals. By the end of the night, I was ready for a motherhood hiatus. Fortunately, that has been our only “bad” day, and we survived. So, needless to say, I did not get a mother’s day picture with my baby, which is probably a good thing, but now I would love to have some photos of her purplish-red face for memory’s sake.
The picture below is of Olivia the day after Mother’s Day–when we both were back to our good temperaments. She’s definitely pretty in pink.
